Dripping Cocoa Cafe

Project Overview
During my Google UX Design Certification course, I was tasked with creating a cafe app that finally allows for group payment options. Dripping Cocoa Cafe is a vegan-friendly cafe that takes into consideration that many of their customers are busy and either want to quickly grab their cafe items and dash to work or are there to meet up with friends and study while enjoying a delicious cafe drink or tasty snack. With that in mind, they provide an in-app option for groups and individuals to order ahead of time or in-store to avoid lines. The app allows customers to order individually, split payments, or order together and detail which items are for whom. It also takes into account that people want their rewards even when splitting payment, so the app distributes rewards to each person in accordance with their purchases.
Challenge
Many of the customers don't want to have to decide whose turn it is to break their concentration while studying to wait in line. Nor would they like to spend the little time they have on their lunch break waiting in a long line for multiple orders for the office. Instead, they needed ways to create group orders ahead of time with people's names associated with their individual items to help with distributing those items to the correct people quickly and efficiently.

Goal
My plan is to make it easy for customers to order ahead so once they arrive they can easily grab their treats, bypass the line and get to work, home, or studying in the cafe. Also, the app will allow customers to provide names for group orders, and choose to split payment methods or pay together. Lastly, all individuals making purchases in the group order will be able to receive rewards associated with their purchases.
